Shock wave
Currently NEW on offer
Pressure wave therapy is used as a very effective and at the same time gentle method for a wide range of musculoskeletal complaints requiring treatment.
The treatment does not require local anesthesia. The dosage is adjusted according to the patient’s perception of pain. Depending on the indication, 3-5 sessions are performed.
Not only for chronic pain in the neck, shoulder and back, but for all painful joints, shock wave brings very good results.
This treatment method is also used for open, poorly healing wounds, and due to the activating effect of cell regeneration, there is also the possibility of cellulite therapy and skin tightening.
In our clinic we use magnetically induced extracorporeal shock waves (focused and radial) combined with various applicators depending on the need.
We can thus treat muscular trigger points, but also act on skin, nerves, tissues, joints and bones as needed.
We create the appropriate treatment concept for each patient!!!
Fields of application
- Tennis and golfer elbow

Frequently asked questions
What is shock wave therapy?
It is a non-invasive treatment method in which high-energy pressure waves hit the body and start their effect there.
An extracorporeal shock wave has originated outside the body. (EWST)
What is the type of shock wave?
Radial shock wave: | acts on the surface of the skin, and a maximum of a few millimeters in depth. In physiotherapy, this option is applied. |
Focused shock wave: | may be performed only by the specialist with special certificate. The penetration depth is much deeper and more precise. |
What effect does the shock wave have?
The pressure wave triggers self-regeneration due to the mechanical stimuli. It will be about
Biochemical reactions stimulated blood circulation and metabolism of the tissue.
This effect of self-regeneration offers very many possibilities of treatment.
The first positive effects are noticeable after 2-3 weeks. The shock wave is
not a fast-acting therapy, but long-lasting.
Does the treatment also have side effects, and when should pressure wave therapy not be performed?
Shock wave therapy is a low-risk form of treatment; in detail, it can lead to
- Hematomas
- Short-term worsening of the pain situation
When should a shock wave not be performed?
- Children, teenagers, pregnant women
- Blood clotting disorder
- Infections
- Malignant tumors
- Pacemaker
Chances of success of the shock wave?
In the classic indications there is a treatment success of about 70 – 80% and significant pain reduction.
Cost of the therapy?
Per session between 190 and 350 euros.
